How Men Fit In:
Brothers, Lovers, Fathers, Sons-- and Friends

We understand that feminism is embedded in the larger culture, which of course includes men. Feminism exists because of men, despite men, in conjunction with men, and independent of men. If only women learn about feminism-- or participate in it, or work to further its goals, or react against it-- then it can hardly be considered a full-fledged social movement.

Hating men and blaming them for all women's problems is cathartic, but not exactly constructive. It may be a necessary phase in a woman's self-actualization, but in the end we need solutions, not scapegoats. Men have plenty of problems (see some of the articles below), but separatism seems to be the wrong way to go for long-term gains.

If you are a man reading these pages, we hope you will take the time to hear what we are saying, try to understand it, and put it in context. The links below should get you started, and also feel free to explore all the rest!
